Jane Thynne was born in Venezuela and received her education in the United Kingdom. She worked for the BBC, The Sunday Times, and The Daily Telegraph after graduating from Oxford. While working on her historical novels, she continues to freelance as a journalist. Her books have been translated into French, German, Greek, Turkish, Italian, and Romanian, among them the Clara Vine series. She is the widow of Philip Kerr and lives in London with her three children, where she is working on her next novel.
