She is a member of Mystery Writers of America, Sisters in Crime, SCBWI, California Writers Club, and Women Writing the West, among other organizations.

She and her husband, Tom, create interactive mysteries as a way to earn money for libraries all throughout the country. Warner resides in Danville, California.
