"DrMay reminds us that human beings are not objects to be fixed or improved. We need to quit worrying about who we are, to relax and be our natural selves; to accept our craziness, to find love rather than build it." -- Publishers Weekly

Gerald G.May, MD (1940-2005) was a senior fellow in contemplative theology and psychology at the Shalem Center for Spiritual Development in Bethesda, Maryland, where he practiced medicine and psychiatry for twenty-five years.
