Snowblind by Matthew Costello

One of the worst blizzards in years hits Cherringham, cutting off the village from the rest of the world. Just outside of town, Broadmead Grange is a struggling retirement home, housed in a gothic mansion behind towering walls. One of the home's residents, poor old Archy, becomes Cherringham's latest victim after he loses himself amongst the snow drifts.

Did Archy really just fall victim to the elements, or was there foul play involved? Jack and Sarah take on the case to dig up the truth.

About the series

Set in the sleepy English village of Cherringham, the detective series brings together an unlikely sleuthing duo: English web designer Sarah and American ex-cop Jack. Thrilling and deadly - but with a spot of tea - it's like Rosamunde Pilcher meets Inspector Barnaby. Each of the self-contained episodes is a quick read for the morning commute, while waiting for the doctor, or when curling up with a hot cuppa.

Neil Richards is a notable specialist in the fields of privacy, information law, and freedom of expression. He co-directs the Cordell Center for Policy in Health and Law at Washington University School of Law, where he holds the Koch Distinguished Professorship. He's also a Stanford Center for Internet and Society and Yale Information Society Project affiliate scholar, a Fellow at the Center for Democracy and Technology, and a privacy consultant and expert. Richards is a member of the American Law Institute and is on the board of the Future of Privacy Forum. Intellectual Privacy (Oxford) is his first book.
