Edward de Bono, the leading pioneer in the direct teaching of thinking, and with over twenty-five years experience at all levels (from eight-year-olds to senior executives) shows in a simple and practical way how a parent can develop the thinking skills of his or her children so as to give them a better chance in life. He is the leading authority in the field of creative thinking and the direct teaching of creative thinking as a skill. From an understanding of how the human brain works as a self-organising information system, he derived the formal creative tools of lateral thinking. His tools for perceptual thinking (CoRT and DATT) are widely used in both schools and business. His institution, the Edward de Bono Foundation, teaches constructive thinking in Education and Management and has instructed leading corporations around the world including IBM, Microsoft, Prudentail, BT (UK), NTT (Japan), Nokia (Finland) and Siemens (Germany).
