Charlie Weston is a nationally recognised journalist who covers personal finance with the Irish Independent, Ireland’s largest-selling daily newspaper. He is also a columnist with the Sunday Independent, Ireland’s most-read Sunday paper. Charlie is recognised as one of the country’s foremost personal finance journalists. He has a weekly personal finance slot on The Last Word on Today FM with host Matt Cooper and is also a regular contributor to RTÉ radio, Newstalk and TV3.

Karl Deeter is a nationally recognised commentator and journalist who contributes regularly to broadcast media on the subject of property, finance, financial regulation and financial planning. He also writes regular columns in the Irish Sun and the Sunday Business Post. His day job is compliance manager of Irish Mortgage Brokers, a company he co-founded in 2004. He is a Qualified Financial Adviser (QFA) and holds several professional certificates in compliance, consumer credit, insolvency and mortgage and pension trusteeship. His contributions to other books include Talking Money (with Jill Kerby), What if Ireland Defaults? (2010) and The Irish Property Buyers’ Handbook (2011–2015).
