truth and reconciliation by Debbie Tucker Green
Rwanda to Northern Ireland, Zimbabwe to Bosnia, answers are demanded, reconciliation hard to hear and the truth reluctant to be told. 'I will not stay standing to have you accuse me. And I will not sit there and be accused.' debbie tucker green's play truth and reconciliation was first performed at the Royal Court Jerwood Theatre Downstairs, London, in September 2011.'[An] extraordinary new play.. perhaps her greatest fusion yet of remembrance and testimony... combines simplicity with rhythmic muscularity'
* Metro *'Tucker Green has never been a dramatist to waste words... never lets up in power, pathos or atmosphere'
* Evening Standard *'Written with all of Green's uniquely insistent pulse, this is a play of small gestures that blossom into big statements'
* Arts Desk *
