For the first time, this ambitious annual cup crowned a world club champion, pitting the kings of the two great footballing continents - Europe and South America - against each other. Daniel is a Latin American Studies graduate from Manchester who has been published extensively online and in print, as well as appearing on numerous podcasts, with a focus on the history of South American football. When Two Worlds Collide: The Intercontinental Cup Years is his second book, following 2020's Blue & Gold Passion: A History of Boca Juniors.
