Summary
This is a story of an epic intergalactic battle fought between Sprocc and his friends and the evil Musical Inquistor for musical freedom in the universe. The action ranges over many planets from the conformist planet Blipp to the desolate swamps and dumps of wastedump 73b to earth.

On the planet Blipp, beyond the stars, beyond the sun and moon, The world is ruled by music - but tradition called the tune. So begins the cosmic musical tale of Sprocc, a young Splingtwanger-player who leaves his home planet, Blipp, in search of musical freedom. Lured by the promise of fame and fortune, Sprocc enters the annual Worst Band in the Universe Competition and is launched skywards on an adventure of truly intergalactic proportions.
Greame Base was born in 1958 in England but has lived most of his life in Australia. He has written and illustrated a number of children's titles: Animalia, The Eleventh Hour, The Sign of the Seahorse and The Discovery of Dragons.
