The Rough Guide to the Internet by Angus J. Kennedy
This guide treats cyberspace in the usual Rough Guide travel book format. It begins with The Basics - buying the hardware, getting a provider, costs, troubleshooting, and information sources - and then takes the reader surfing in The Guide, with site-by-site coverage of places to visit on the World Wide Web. Each site is reviewed critically to help the Net surfer make a choice. At the back of the book, The Contexts writes up the Internet's strange history and includes articles on netiquette, security and censorship.
