Orna Ross was brought up in the Co. Wexford village of Murrintown. Amongst other things she has worked as a teacher, a saleswoman, an aerobics instructor, a waitress and as a freelance journalist in Dublin and London. In the late-1990s, while living in Cheshire, she began to write fiction. She now lives in Dublin with her husband and two teenage children, where she combines a career as a novelist with giving classes in creativity and creative writing. Lovers' Hollow is her first novel.
