The British Library's diary for 2007 is produced in conjunction with the Newspaper Publishers Association, the trade association for national daily and Sunday newspapers and the "Evening Standard". It features illustrations of moments from modern history as they appeared on the front pages of British newspapers: from D-Day to the moon landings, the fall of the Berlin Wall, the murder of John Lennon and the coronation of Elizabeth II. These will be shown at an exhibition, Front Page, at The British Library from May 25th to October 8th 2006. The diary is elegantly produced, in a week-to-view format with a full-page picture on every spread. It is packed with useful information, including national and religious holidays for Britain, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the USA, as well as astronomical information. It contains memorable images and headlines from twentieth-century history. It contains a fresh design, large format, with a plenty of room to write. The British Library attracts over four hundred thousand readers every year.
