In present-day Melbourne, a group of power-hungry academics are trying to reassemble a 19th century grimoire designed to summon Satan, but they have reckoned without the interference of three masters students, who make contact with the ghost of the grimoire's author's assistant.
Born in London, Kim Wilkins moved to Australia when she was four. She has degrees in English and Creative Writing. Her first novel, The Infernal won two 1997 Aurealis Awards, for best horror and best fantasy novel. She is married with a young son.
