How much do you charge for delivery?

Can I change my shipping address?

Yes you can change your shipping address during the checkout process and within your account. Unfortunately, once an order has been placed, we are unable to change the shipping address.

Do you provide a tracking number?

A tracking service is only available for items ordered by Special Delivery within the UK.

Where is my order?

You can check the status of your order within your account. Alternatively, you can get in touch with our customer services team for clarification.

What are your data protection policies?

We take data protection and your data security very seriously. You can find our policy on it here - or contact us if you have any specific questions.

Which payment method can I use to place an order?

You can pay via PayPal and we also accept all major credit and debit cards.

When placing multiple orders, are items dispatched together?

Whilst we try our best to dispatch your items together, on occasion we may send them separately. 

I have a problem with my order, what should I do?

Can I return my order?

Of course. We are happy to refund an item if it is defective within 30 days of purchase or upon the return of your item. If you return an item to us and request a refund due to an error on our part (i.e. quality issue) we will be happy to pay for the postage cost to return it to us. If you return a book to us because you made a mistake, we will be unable to pay for the return postage. Unfortunately, we are unable to refund an order that is older than 61 days from the day of purchase.

How do you recycle books?

We are passionate about recycling here at World of Books. Not only do we recycle 2.3 million books a month, we also recycle waste paper and cans. We save 12,500 metric tonnes a year which would have otherwise been sitting in a landfill site. We are proud to save these books from landfill. Surplus books are used to help good causes such as the British Army, local schools and hospitals. We also export large volumes of books to developing countries to assist in education and enjoyment. Anything that is left is recycled into low grade cardboard and other materials to be re-used.
