As Diana DuBois demonstrates in this unauthorized biography, the patterns of sibling competition formed in childhood would subtly influence Lee Radziwill throughout her life. Never quite as graceful in the spotlight as Jackie, Lee made up the difference with glitter and glamour, finding husbands, relationships and lovers among the international jet set. She was first married to Michael Canfield, rumoured to be the bastard child of British royalty, then to Prince Stanislas Radziwill - real royalty in exile - and finally to director Herbert Ross. From New York and London to the capitals and sun spots of Europe, Lee has lived at the pinnacle of style, with friends such as Diana Vreeland, Rudolf Nureyev, Andy Warhol, Leslie Caron, Truman Capote, Richard Meier and, of course, the Kennedys. Perhaps most telling, Aristotle Onassis was Lee's conquest - until the day she invited her sister along for a sail on his yacht. One theme has underscored all the dazzle: Lee's jealous rivalry with her stunning sister, from childhood in East Hampton to high-profile adulthood. This book is a portrait of a woman living too close to a legend, and never quite becoming one herself.","brand":"WoB","offers":[{"title":"GB \/ GOOD \/ INTERNAL","offer_id":49541734170897,"sku":"GOR004344903","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":false},{"title":"GB \/ VERY_GOOD \/ INTERNAL","offer_id":49557367521553,"sku":"GOR001560749","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true},{"title":"GB \/ WELL_READ \/ INTERNAL","offer_id":49653539668241,"sku":"GOR002275703","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":false},{"title":"US \/ GOOD \/ SBYB","offer_id":49724301771025,"sku":"CIN0316187534G","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":false},{"title":"US \/ VERY_GOOD \/ SBYB","offer_id":50406100893969,"sku":"CIN0316187534VG","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":false},{"title":"US \/ WELL_READ \/ SBYB","offer_id":51694509228305,"sku":"CIN0316187534A","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":false},{"title":"US \/ LIKE_NEW \/ SBYB","offer_id":53200136274193,"sku":"CIN0316187534LN","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0784\/4072\/6801\/files\/0316187534.gif?v=1751390035"},{"product_id":"my-harvard-my-yale-book-diana-dubois-9780394519203","title":"My Harvard, My Yale","description":null,"brand":"WoB","offers":[{"title":"US \/ GOOD \/ SBYB","offer_id":50038249685265,"sku":"CIN0394519205G","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0784\/4072\/6801\/files\/0394519205.jpg?v=1751197033"},{"product_id":"in-her-sister-s-shadow-book-diana-dubois-9780312962371","title":"In Her Sister's Shadow","description":"Reverend Charles Sheldon (1857-1946) was an American minister in the Congregational churches and leader of the Social Gospel movement. He is a graduate of Phillips Academy, Andover (1879). He became an advocate of the late nineteenth century school of thought known as Christian Socialism. In the 1880s Sheldon developed a series of sermons that he preached from the pulpit of the Congregational church in Topeka, Kansas. The theme of the sermons was later fictionalised into the novel In His Steps. Sheldon's theological motif reflected his socialist outlook, and it helped to inspire the theologian Walter Rauschenbusch who is generally credited with creating the Social Gospel. In 1900 he became editor for a week of the Topeka Daily Capital applying the What Would Jesus Do?  concept. Amongst his other works are: Richard Bruce; or, Life That Now is (1892), His Brother's Keeper; or, Christian Stewardship (1895), Robert Hardy's Seven Days: A Dream and its Consequences (1899), John King's Question Class (1899), The Crucifixion of Philip Strong (1899), The Miracle at Markham: How Twelve Churches Became One (1899), The Heart of the World (1905) and The High Calling (1911).","brand":"WoB","offers":[{"title":"US \/ GOOD \/ SBYB","offer_id":50116857168145,"sku":"CIN0312962371G","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":false},{"title":"US \/ WELL_READ \/ SBYB","offer_id":50128704536849,"sku":"CIN0312962371A","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0784\/4072\/6801\/files\/0312962371.jpg?v=1750877606"}],"url":"https:\/\/www.worldofbooks.com\/fr-fr\/collections\/auteur-livres-de-diana-dubois.oembed","provider":"World of Books ","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
