This up-to-date survey is most welcome, with papers on excavations still awaiting full publication (including a helpful outline of excavations at Pocklington, otherwise known from media reports), building experimental chariots, warfare, women (in an article brimming with ideas) and migration, and a notable contribution on isotope analysis. * British Archaeology *
Peter Halkon is a Senior Lecturer in Archaeology at the University of Hull. He has undertaken long-term research on the Iron Age of eastern Yorkshire. He has published widely, including his book, The Parisi, Britons and Romans in Eastern Yorkshire.
