A Compendium of Neuropsychological Tests by Elisabeth Sherman

The Compendium is an essential guidebook for selecting the right test for specific clinical situations and for helping clinicians make empirically supported test interpretations. BL Revised and updated BL Over 85 test reviews of well-known neuropsychological tests and scales for adults BL Includes tests of premorbid estimation, dementia screening, IQ, attention, executive functioning, memory, language, visuospatial skills, sensory function, motor skills, performance validity, and symptom validity BL Covers basic and advanced aspects of neuropsychological assessment including psychometric principles, reliability, test validity, and performance/symptom validity testing
Now in its fourth edition, this classic endures because of its extraordinary contribution to neuropsychology; extraordinary because it is so necessary, comprehensive, and contemporaryWith newly updated tests, norms, in-depth validity analyses, and meaningful commentary, the Compendium ranks among the most important and useful books a neuropsychologist should have. This is why it remains an enduring and contemporary classic. * Joel E. Morgan, PhD, ABPP-CN, Author of the Textbook of Clinical Neuropsychology *
The Compendium has been the primary reference for test description, administration, psychometrics, normative data, and clinical interpretation since it first appeared in 1991. It has become the foundational text in the library of every practicing neuropsychologist. Yet, this is not solely a test-based textbook; rather, it is a review of the psychometric status of the field. I cannot think of a better guide to knowing our tools. * Glenn Larrabee, PhD, ABPP-CN, Author of Forensic Neuropsychology: A Scientific Approach *
The Compendium is among the top three must-have textbooks for all neuropsychologists. It is the first book I turn to when I need information about a particular test. * Robin C. Hilsabeck, PhD, ABPP-CN, Past President, National Academy of Neuropsychology *
A particularly important aspect to the fourth edition is that information is provided for each test regarding its use as a performance or symptom validity measure, in addition to its primary role as a source of neurocognitive information. * Kyle Brauer Boone, PhD, ABPP-CN, Author of Clinical Practice of Forensic Neuropsychology: An Evidence-based Approach *
A Compendium of Neuropsychological Tests has been essential reading for neuropsychologists seeking to gain a better understanding of test methods used for clinical assessment and diagnosis. * Dominic A. Carone, Applied Neuropsychology : Adult *
