The sword is a spoon all covered in rust. The leg is a root, cracked and dried, but the egg is an egg, with something inside. George thinks his pet is perfect - until the baby dinosaur starts eating everything in sight.
Felix Hayes is a natural storyteller and hugely versatile actor taking the eponymous role in The Gruffalo stage play. His first books were the popular Monkey and Robot series for Bloomsbury Children's Books, illustrated by his wife. Sue Heap has written and illustrated many books, including Cowboy Baby, winner of the Smarties Book Prize in 1998.
