The battle for control over the Order of Alhazred mounts as Nicodemus's only heir, Cassandra, is challenged over her right to be grandmaster. Christopher Golden and Thomas Sniegoski are top genre authors whose previous collaborations include The Buffy Monster Book (with Stephen Bissette) and the script of the Xbox Buffy the Vampire Slayer video game. Thomas E. Sniegoski is best known as a comic book writer whose recent works include a new Batman project for DC, and a Star Trek prestige format special for Wildstorm. With Christopher Golden, he is the co-author of the monthly Angel comic and is involved with additional Buffy special projects.
