Swordsman, scholar, wit and eccentric, Kyril Bonfiglioli was author of the deliciously funny THE MORTDECAI TRILOGY. He died in Jersey in 1985. Craig Brown writes weekly columns for the Independent on Sunday, Guardian, Mail on Sunday, Daily Telegraph and Private Eye. He lives by the Suffolk seaside.
