Justine Smith worked in children's book publishing for nearly twenty years, most recently as editorial director of Ladybird books. She is now a freelance writer and editor. Jan Lewis's brilliant illustrations have been published by Walker, HarperCollins, Macmillan, Egmont, Orchard, David Fickling and pretty much any publisher you might think of! Jan used to teach illustration at Berkshire College of Art but now illustrates full time and is currently writing her own books as well.
