Eddie Arana was laid out drunk on a hospital bed after a major car accident at 4am. His wife was on her way to the hospital. He didn't know what to do next. Ice Water Please is an honest story about how alcoholism can affect a man and his family. Drinking gave Eddie Arana his highest enjoyment in life and it also contributed to his lowest of lows. He had to figure out a way to lead a life that provided all of the perceived fun and excitement and satisfaction of a drinking life, while remaining sober. Eddie found a way to do it and he lays out the steps that he used in order to get and to stay sober. The stories are funny at times and disgusting at times and very sad at times. The book tells the story about how his parents showed the epitome of the term unconditional love and how Eddie's alcoholism came full circle with the heart wrenching discovery of his own daughter's problem with alcohol. Life does not end when you get sober. It gets better and it is a beautiful ride. The book is a must read for anybody that wishes to quit drinking or knows anybody that wants to quit drinking. Ice Water Please is an easy read and it is relatable to the common man/woman. Eddie Arana pulls no punches. It is from the heart and the book will definitely make you think about the damage that your drinking can do to yourself and to your loved ones.

Arana, Edward A.: - Eddie Arana is a first time author and is extremely proud to be an alcoholic and even prouder to be sober. His background is in accounting, graduating from DePaul University and subsequently earning his certified public accountant (CPA) designation. He has worked at various companies as a staff auditor, senior auditor, assistant controller, controller and chief financial officer. He currently owns his own ticket broker business (buying and selling tickets for sports, concerts and theatre events). He has also recently been licensed as an Illinois Real Estate Broker. He has three beautiful and wonderful kids - Sarah, little Eddie, and Isabelle, who he loves very much.
