He had one of the largest private collections of stamps and philatelic material in the world. James Mackay's published works include: Commemmorative Medals (A Barker); Collectables (Macdonald); The Banknote Yearbook (Token Publishing); and Dictionary of Turn of the Century Antiques (Ward Lock).
