Dr Jim B. Tucker directs research into children's reports of past-life memories at the University of Virginia, Division of Personality Studies. He received his M.D. from the University of North Carolina and his training in general psychiatry and child psychiatry at the University of Virginia. He is a board-certified child psychiatrist and for several years, worked with Dr Ian Stevenson, the founder of this research, before taking over in 1992. He has published a number of articles in scientific journals, spoken before both scientific and general audiences, and made several TV appearances.
