Embarking on a risky experiment to see if she could save herself and her English country home, brave author Annie self-evicted from her converted Chapel just at the point where she could no longer afford to fill the car with fuel. The Long Road Back is an often amusing, at other times heart-rending tale of one woman working hard to overcome many traumas. The book involves a lot of cheese sandwiches and a wealth of budget hotels. Oh and let's not forget Grubby the Persian cat. Annie's story shows how anyone with any sort of property--grand or modest--can quickly achieve a financial turnaround following the same model and using property platform Airbnb for leverage.
Annie Jai lives in the North-West of England with Grubby the cat, and they spend their time on the motorway or at any of a number of hotels while the Airbnb experience continues. Annie's goal is to become a full-time author and she is about to launch her debut novel. Alongside writing, however, she owns an animal welfare organisation, undertakes consultancy to large businesses and carries out work in the security and surveillance sector. Basically, she will do anything self-employed to remain outside the employee rat-race and achieve the end goal of writing, writing and more writing!
