Peter Murray was born in 1951 and brought up on a council estate in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. He trained as a metallurgist and graduated with a Masters Degree from Cambridge University. After working as a teacher for many years, Peter has now turned his hand to writing full time and visiting schools. Peter lives in North Yorkshire and is married with two grown-up sons.
