Chris Raschka is a writer-illustrator of over sixty books for children. Among them are Charlie Parker played be bop, Yo! Yes?, A Poke in the I, Five for a Little One, and A Ball for Daisy. He has received the Caldecott Medal twice, and the New York Times Best Illustrated Book Citation five times. He lives with his family in New York City.
