This book responds to this interest by giving the reader a mixture of background information, ideas and recipes to help him or her get the most from olive, walnut, hazelnut, almond, grapeseed, sesame and sunflower oils, among others. Information on olive oil, for instance, includes how and where it is made, different types (ordinary, virgin, extra virgin), how to tell one type from another, how to make flavoured oils (chili, truffle, herb and so on), and some general cooking ideas.
