Robert C. Williams is a retired Russian historian who lives in Topsham, Maine, with his wife Ann, a dog and several cats. He first came to
Kezar Lake in 1939, spent summers there until 2003, and is now a full-time Maine resident. He is the author of Lovewell's Town. From Howling Wilderness to Vacationland in Trust (2006) and of histories of Topsham, the Charlotte Hobbs Memorial Library, the Lovell United Church of Christ, and the Greater Lovell Land Trust. He received his B.A. from Wesleyan University (1960) and his Ph.D. from Harvard University (1966) and has taught history at Bates, Davidson and Williams Colleges, and at Washington University in St. Louis.

A priest for fifty years, FATHER BENEDICT J. GROESCHEL, C.F.R., is one of the founding members of the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal. He is a psychologist, an internationally known speaker and a retreat master. His numerous books include Healing the Original Wound (Servant Books), Tears of God, The Virtue Driven Life, and After this Life. Father Groeschel can also be seen as host of the weekly EWTN program, Sunday Night Live with Father Benedict Groeschel.
