Social Worker with a 2' by 4' by Charles Apotheker

In Sherlock Holmes and The Disappearing Prince an urgent telegram from an old friend informs Holmes of the mysterious disappearance of the Prince of Japan, from his rooms at university, without warning, and with no signs of a struggle. A Russian cigarette, some dried pieces of soil, and absent rowing gloves are the clues to solving this mystery.

A young woman in great distress approaches Sherlock Holmes in A Wilful Case. She is suspicious of the unexplained deaths of her mother and brother, exactly a week apart, and being the heiress to a great fortune, she suspects that someone is after her family's money.

A Case for the Admiralty involves confidential government affairs when Holmes is employed by a Mr Barton from the Admiralty, to discover the whereabouts of some important missing blueprints and documents for the creation of a battleship.

Finally, The Three-Faced Villain presents Holmes with a problem concerning a woman, who has been the victim of a robbery, not once, but three times. Each incident has taken place inside a cab, with different drivers, leading the woman to believe that a gang of robbers are terrorising unsuspecting tourists throughout London. However, Holmes thinks differently, and starts to imagine that the answer to this case is far more sinister.

Edmund Hastie was just fourteen years old when he compiled this extremely impressive collection of fluent, witty stories that recreate the world's most famous and best-loved detective in a faithful, if tongue-in-cheek, tribute.

Charles Apotheker was born in the Bronx, NY, attended local public schools, graduated from DeWitt Clinton High School, CCNY, and St. John's University Law School. Judge Apotheker is also an honorably discharged veteran of the U.S. Army Reserve. Judge Apotheker was a Rockland County Assistant County Attorney from 1974 to 2003 and appeared before the NYS Appellate Division's Second and Third Departments, the New York State Court of Appeals, the U.S. District Courts, and the United States Supreme Court. Judge Apotheker was elected town justice of the Town of Haverstraw in 1979 and served for 27 consecutive years. He was appointed as Rockland County's Misdemeanor Drug Court judge in March 2000 and served in that capacity until February 2002, when Rockland's Drug Court was transferred to the county court. In 2004, Judge Apotheker was appointed to the faculty of the National Drug Court Institute. Since that time, he has mentored numerous Drug Court teams throughout the United States and has been a peer reviewer for Drug Court-related grant applications for the Bureau of Justice Affairs of the United States Department of Justice. In 2006, Judge Apotheker was elected as Rockland County Court judge. He was soon appointed as an acting justice of the Supreme Court and was appointed as Rockland's Felony Drug Court judge. During 10 year term, the population of Rockland's Drug Court rose from approximately 40 participants to nearly 100 and the minority population in Drug Court significantly increased, reflecting the diversity of Rockland County.
