The book is both a history, as well as a memoir, of the end of Empire.Nicholas Rankin worked for 20 years for the BBC World Service, winning 2 UN awards and becoming Chief Producer.
He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature.
He lives in Ramsgate, Kent.
