A comprehensive producer guide gives profiles on every significant producer, detailing all the key facts such as how many acres are in production, how many cases are produced each year and from which grape varieties the wines are made. Other useful details include winemaking methods and other influences on wine style. Throughout the book, colour photographs help guide the reader through the landscape and wineries of the Pacific Northwest.
Lisa Shara Hall is a specialist on the wines of the Pacific Northwest and is the author of The Food Lover's Companion to Portland. She is a contributor to Hugh Johnson's Pocket Wine Book and Jancis Robinson's The Oxford Companion to Wine, and writes regularly for The Oregonian, Wine Business Monthly and Wine Business insider in the US. Lisa is a frequent lecturer and educator about wine, and is the first candidate in Oregon for the Master of Wine qualification.
