The Witch's Dog and the Ice-cream Wizard by Frank Rodgers

Wilf's school ski trip has been cancelled because there's no snow. Wilf and his friends help the Ice Cream Wizard to find his stolen wand, and their reward is a covering of ice-cream over the whole hill. Wilf uses his magic to freeze the ice cream and so his school friends have their snowy holiday after all.

Frank Rodgers grew up reading RUPERT BEAR and EAGLE comic and admired the work of artists like Frank Hampson, who drew the original DAN DARE strips. Frank loved inventing funny characters and, after studying art then becoming an art teacher, he became a full-time illustrator. He illustrates the successful MR MAJEIKA books and has written and illustrated many of his own titles. Frank lives in Glasgow.
