Private investigator, Paul Merrick is murdered alongside his partner, while meeting with a perspective client. Subsequent to his untimely demise, he's transported to another demension, where he's catapulted into an afterlife experience he could have never imagined.

Throughtout the investigation, Chase is accompanied by a mentor he's acquired during his journey. His mentor is an amusingly interesting character, who reaveals many of life's mysteries, and informs Paul Merrick why he is one of the few people to move forward to a higher level of exsistence, after passing from temperal realm.
