His produced screenplays include SOMEBODY HAS TO SHOOT THE PICTURE and BEYOND THE CALL. He was a photojournalist whose first book was SLOW COMING DARK: INTERVIEWS ON DEATH ROW. He lives in New York's East Harlem with his wife Mary Hedahl. He has three grown sons, Tim, Joey and Jackson.
