Critical Models by Theodor W Adorno
Two volumes by Theodor W. Adorno are combined in this volume: "Interventions - Nine Critical Models" (1963) and "Catchwords: Critical Model II" (1969). Both books are examples of Adorno's postwar commitment to unmasking the culture that engendered Nazism.Adorno (1903-69) was a founding member of the Frankfurt School and possibly its most influential theorist. He worked at the New York Center for Social Research with Max Horkheimer and afterwards taught at Frankfurt University until his death in 1969. In sociology, philosophy, and cultural theory, his work has had a huge impact.
