Nikki graduated from Louisiana State University with a BFA in Graphic Design. After working in New York City for Hearst Magazines and Women’s Wear Daily (WWD) she moved to her homestate of South Carolina where she became a full-time freelance designer. She is founder of the South Carolina chapter of AIGA and served as president for 2 years. She taught Graphic Design and Typography at the University of South Carolina in Columbia for 5 years. Currently, she is a Senior Designer at Dixon Hughes Goodman in Hudson, Ohio. In her free time she maintains her blog about how culture affects typography at nikkivillagomez.wordpress.com.
