Cup Tied by Daniel Gray
One hundred and fifty years after it was first contested, photographer Alan McCredie and writer Daniel Gray spent the 2023/24 football season seeking out the charms of the modern Scottish Cup. Travelling to matches from hamlet to Hampden, they found them in abundance.Daniel Gray is a writer and broadcaster, and also Editor of Nutmeg magazine. He has published a host of critically acclaimed books on football and social history and presents the When Saturday Comes podcast. Daniel has fronted history programmes on television and written for the BBC. His most recent football book, The Silence of the Stands, was shortlisted for Football Book of the Year at the Sunday Times Awards and longlisted for the William Hill Prize.

He has specialised in theatre and television but is perhaps best known for his documentary and travel photography. He has been Nutmeg magazine's chief photographer since the magazine began in 2016, and Cup Tied is his 10th book.
