Something the book does do is tell the non-Asperger person what the hidden disorder is and how it effects that person - for example, being in a group of people…When I read this book, my first impressions were that it was quite well written in a way that I found easy to understand (although I had read quite a few books on the same subject before). Gunilla Gerland was diagnosed as having Asperger Syndrome several years ago. She is the author of the autobiography A Real Person: Life on the Outside and is very active in informing about the condition, through writing and lecturing all over Europe. She lives in Stockholm where she also works closely with the Swedish National Autism Society.
