Wainwright, Sarah: - Sarah Wainwright is an attorney who researches and writes on the history and philosophy of American Law. Her interest in the profes-sion stemmed from being raised-along with her sister-by her single mother, who, after taking up law as a second career, often had Sarah with her at her small solo practice. At a young age, Sarah was ex-posed to the legal profession at its most fundamental level-seeing the struggles of people whose lives were entangled in the family and criminal court systems. After finishing high school, Sarah studied art with the expectation of following a passion for painting, but after sev-eral years in the field, she missed the personal interactions and sense of purpose she remembered from her mother's office. Sarah decided to enroll in law school, and, after graduating and passing the bar, she returned to her hometown to practice alongside her mother and writes when time allows.
