Regency Christmas Present by Elisabeth Fairchild
The catalyst for this book happened recently when I was riding with my daughter Angelique. I mentioned an event that happened to me and my family when I was a child. She said, Really, Dad, did that really happen ?
As I sat there, I thought of the multitude of events that happened to me and our family in the early 1930's and 1940's. No one kept dairies. All of this came from memory.
It is written just as if I was telling my daughter a story of my life. Remember that these were the Depression years and the beginning of the WI years.
Really, life was not much different twenty years before then. It was a simple, loving life.
So, this book relates to that time, and describes how people lived and coped with life.
People in their middle years will find this book interesting and informative.
I hope that you like it.
