The Remarkable Pigeon by Dorien Brouwers

A stunningly illustrated picture book that celebrates the things that make each of us special.

When a pigeon visits the aviary, he feels humbled by the other birds he sees--toucans with big beaks, hummingbirds that fly backwards, parrots with bright feathers, songbirds that sing so sweetly. But then he realizes he possesses something precious that they don't: his freedom to fly! This thought-provoking and exquisitely illustrated book will enchant children and teach them the importance of not comparing yourself to others--and appreciating the things you have.
