June Naylor, a sixth-generation Texas and Fort Worth native, has written about travel and food since 1984, primarily with the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, where she served as assistant travel editor for 10 years. She is currently the newspaper's dining critic, food columnist and a regular contributor to the travel section, while writing features for other publications, such as American Way and Texas Highways. She is the author of several Texas guidebooks, such as the award-winning Texas Off the Beaten Path(R) (Globe Pequot Press) and Quick Escapes(R) Dallas/Ft. Worth (Globe Pequot Press). She serves on the board of the Society of American Travel Writers and was a founder of the Association of Women Journalists. A cookbook author, June also leads culinary touring programs.
