Friedmann, Robert R.: - ROBERT R. FRIEDMANN, Professor and Chair of the Department of Criminal Justice at Georgia State University in Atlanta, is also the founder and director of the Georgia criminal justice Statistical Analysis Bureau and of the Georgia-International Law Enforcement Exchange Program there. He has held teaching positions at the University of Haifa and the University of Minnesota. His research interests and published works focus on community policing. His most recent books is Community Policing: Comparative Perspectives and Prospects (1992), and he is currently editing a book on the state of criminal justice in Israel.
