Daniel Chaffey is a writer, academic, and lifelong learner of all things German. He spent much of the last 12 years in Germany, where he honed his German abilities and learned to communicate like a German sailor as a student, Fulbright Teaching Assistant, translator, and bartender. He graduated from Cal State Long Beach with a master's degree in German studies and a teaching certificate. He is currently teaching German in Northern California, where he is also working on other projects, such as a vocabulary of WWII army slang.
