He also gives advice on a range of matters from painting trees in a landscape to perspective stencils, handling washes and enlarging sketches. Rowland Hilder is also author of "Rowland Hilder's England" and "Rowland Hilder Country". In 1987 he received the OBE in public recognition of his contribution to the English School of landscape painting.
