Clinical nutrition concerns the interaction between nutrition and disease. This encompasses both nutritional disorders, including problems in feeding behaviour, and the role of nutritional management in a variety of conditions. The veterinarian in small practice will encounter these problems daily. Divided into two parts, this work deals with the principles of clinical nutrition and presents state-of-the-art critical appraisals of the rationale behind nutritional management of disease of specific body systems.
