About June Crebbin

June Crebbin was a primary school teacher before taking early retirement to concentrate on her writing. Her books for children include The Train Ride (9780744547016), illustrated by Stephen Lambert, and the popular series of stories about Merryfield Hall riding school: Jumping Beany (9781406305197), Saving Oscar (9781406301991) and Riding High (9781406311235). She lives in Leicestershire with her husband. Katharine McEwen is the illustrator of the highly acclaimed Gaskitts series, written by Allan Ahlberg. She also illustrated It Moved! (9781406304305), written by former Children's Laureate Anne Fine and My Dad, the Hero, written by Stella Gurney. She lives in Tonbridge.
