Cheshire Cats Zusammenfassung

Cheshire Cats Gail Young

This plays needs M1-3 and F5-7 as well as extras and various simple settings. Grown women, aching feet and heaving bosoms! Follow the Cheshire Cats team as they speedwalk their way to fundraising success in the London Moonwalk. Hilary, Siobhan, Yvonne, Vicky and Maggie are attempting to walk 13 miles across the capital in record time in their decorated bras and posh new trainers, but the sixth member of their team doesn't seem to meet the physical criteria! Cheshire Cats is a cross between a girls' night out and a real mission to support a cause close to many hearts, with plenty of laughs and a few tears along the way. The casting is flexible and the play may be performed by a cast of five women and one man with doubling, or by a larger ensemble using the alternative dialogue provided. ...a genuinely funny and even touching ensemble piece... (Claire Black, Edinburgh Fringe Review, The Scotsman). ...moving, emotional, poignant, and best of all it makes you laugh ... (Jo Henwood, Chester Chronicle). The casting includes: Hilary, bombastic, middle-aged team leader/organizer; Siobhan, caring and diplomatic, and old friend of Hilary; Yvonne, overworked/overweight stressed-out mum and friend of Hilary; Maggie, overweight younger mum; Vicky, artistic, fit, glamorous middle-aged divorcee; Andrew, trim toyboy; Aerobics Instructor; Handsome Drunk; Madge; Ethel; and, additional characters for the ensemble version: Policeman, Ron, Marshalls, and Photographers.
