Allan Ahlberg is one of the most acclaimed and successful authors of children's books, particularly in partnership with his wife Janet, who died in 1994. Among his numerous classic picture books are the Jolly Postman books; Burglar Bill; Peepo! and Each Peach Pear Plum. Allan's other books for Walker include the Red Nose Readers series; The Mysteries of Zigomar; Monkey Do!; Mockingbird; The Bravest Ever Bear; The Snail House; The Man Who Wore All His Clothes; and The Woman Who Won Things. Andre Amstutz has illustrated numerous children's books, including several titles in the Funny Bones and Happy Families series and another title with Allan Ahlberg for Walker Books, Monkey Do! Among his other books are The Pied Piper of Hamelin, Tarquin and the Canal Crooks and the series A Bunch of Baddies.
